Whale watching

The gray whale watching is a touching spectacle and all an adventure.   Since ancient times the gray whales do the most extraordinary crossing, they travel in groups and are able to swim long distances keeping their social structure in groups or families.

The gray whale travel  every year from Alaska to Mexico at an average speed of  7 to 18 kilometers per hour, they run distances up to 10,000 kilometers to arrive to the Sudcalifornia  waters to fulfill their  reproductive cycle, they have a two years cycle, one is used to pair and pregnancy and the next year to give birth.  

The whales are the biggest mammals in the animal kingdom, they weight up to 130 tons and measure up to 33 meters, a whale swim moving the tail up to down while a fish do it side to side.

Whale watching here in Los Cabos is without doubt one of the most popular activity among the thousands of people visiting the area each year.  The Los Cabos area is considered one of the best places on earth to view these beautiful animals.  It´s possible to see many varieties of whales including Orca, Gray, Fin, Humpback, Sperm, Short-finned and Minke Whales, as well as various dolphins.
